- Fees for tuition are payable by bank transfer before the first lesson. A receipt is available upon request.
- Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are billed in full.
- Up to two cancellations of fixed-day lessons are allowed within a package. Afterwards, lessons are arranged individually at mutually convenient dates and times, which may differ from the original slot.
- Scheduled lessons take place at the agreed time unless rearranged by mutual agreement.
- Except where the level guarantee below applies, we strive to provide the best possible service but cannot guarantee a specific academic, examination or professional result.
- Learn French Geneva by Swiss Language Academy is not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from tutoring services or errors or omissions in learning material, to the extent permitted by law.
- All materials provided are protected by copyright and may not be published or distributed without prior written permission.
- Lessons must be taken within six months unless a different validity period is agreed in writing. Untaken lessons are not refunded.
- For face-to-face lessons, occasional delays caused by traffic or transport disruption may occur. We will notify learners when reasonably possible.
- For one year following the service relationship, clients agree not to solicit Academy employees or independent contractors to terminate or breach their relationship with the Academy.

Conditions of the level guarantee
- What is guaranteed. That you reach the level recorded as your target in your signed starting document. Not a pass on a specific date, and not fluency.
- Before you start. A free placement test followed by a live assessment, online or by telephone. We record your assessed level, your target level, the estimated hours and your deadline in a starting document signed by both parties before the first paid lesson.
- Your commitments. Attendance of at least 95% of scheduled lessons; lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice count as attended. One hour of French daily, five days a week: assigned homework and writing, films, series, podcasts or video. At least one live conversation session per week, included in your programme.
- Exam timing. You register for the examination only once we have confirmed in writing that you are ready. Registering before that confirmation ends the guarantee.
- If you fall short. Provided every condition above is met, we continue teaching you free of charge up to 20% of your purchased programme hours, to be used within six months of the programme's end.
- When the guarantee does not apply. If you register for the examination against our advice; if you fall below the attendance threshold; if the agreed target changes without a re-agreed written plan.
- How you are told. If you fall outside these conditions we tell you in writing at the time, not at the end of your programme.
- Language. In case of divergence, the French version of these conditions prevails.
